I liked helpfulness of the stuff, especially the people from Accomodation office. They were very civil and willing to recommend E.G. how to use public traffic, the fare etc. Also the stuff in Buttery was very helpful.

We were very disappointed by our last night as the group of students organised a very noisy party. When asking them to stop we were told that nobody had informed them about the presence of tourists. We tried to explain them that we paid not negligible sum of money for accomodation, but it did not help. We had then to call the Accomodation office as we had to get up early to catch the plane. They had to sent the people from Security. So, our last night was awfull and it spoiled our otherwise good experience. You should pay attention to such situations which make bad reputation to your hotel as we have the feeling we paid for something we were not given.

Very central location and amenable to central Dublin's attractions.Clean / fresh linen.

Basic accomodation with small bath/showeroom. No TV. Can be noisy esp if youre located close to communal kitchen.

Very close to the city centre. Delightful young staff at reception

I loved staying in a place that was steeped in history. It was so central to the beating heart of Dublin and we felt very safe there - the security was excellent - we passed through about five doors with our key cards before reaching our room!

I had a double room and the bed was a very small double bed - this is a very minor comment on an otherwise very positive experience.

Fabulous central Dublin location, good value for money, wonderfully helpful staff, beautiful setting.

The shower is very, very small - but probably to be expected since this is a college dorm.

Got a real feeling for the campus (a bit of nostalgia for us both, from our own student days!) including a sense of the history behind the place. Doing the campus tour + Book of Kells combination was good value for money - and our guide was quite an entertainer, with her great sense of humour, which distracted us through the inclement weather. Our room was clean, tidy & perfectly adequate for 2 nights - obviously you don't expect luxury in a student hostel, although the heavy sash window could do with a handle to help lift it. Enjoyed the continental breakfasts - a good healthy selection & pleasant environment, including the friendly staff. Baggage storage facility before & after checkout was very handy, also.

I loved the academic atmosphere, eating in the Buttery, their breakfasts were excellent, and Trinity's location for shopping, sightseeing, transportaion and night life. I was only in my room to sleep and found it very comfortable and basic.

I did not like the 15 euros for 7 day Internet access fee because I was only there two days and it wasn't good value for money. If I were staying longer it would be, but for short term stays there should be a fee based on that time or perhaps a one to two hour time frame per day fee. I only need an hour a day or less. I wasn't in my room except to sleep and had to use my iPad to check mail, etc. incurring roaming charges.

    - Friendly & helpful staff at reception. - Brill continental breakfast (very generous) - location - friendly security man too! -satisfied my curiousity re what Campus Accom was like

-a bit hard to actually find my house (127) -I was a bit confused re which exit to use after 12 midnight, thought it was Nassau St from what I had been told & what was in the booklet, so I banged on that entrance door for about 10mins, then rang Security & he was v. helpful & directed me through the arch! -a small point but the small little milks in the fridge were not quite fresh!

It is on a wonderful site right in the heart of the city. The accommodation was comfortable, quiet and excellent value for money. It is completely safe for the solo traveller. It felt a privilege to be staying in such lovely surroundings.

Trinity was in a great location in Dublin, I had no trouble checking in or checking out, the staff was very helpful, and the room was very reasonably priced.

The room faced a main street and was a bit loud from all the traffic outside.

The college accomodation was clean and cosy. It was interesting to feel like part of the college - part of history! There was a graduation in progress when we arrived, so we were surrounded by brainy people in gowns, and it made us feel 'wise' to be in such a place. We were central to everything in Dublin, the book of Kells, Temple Bar, St. Stephen's Green... The staff were most helpful, and even provided us with bagged breakfasts (generous ones!), when we explained that we were leaving before breakfast was served.

It was tricky to find our building again, later. And even trickier to get out of it in the morning, when there were locked gates everywhere, and we'd left our card-keys in the room when we left, so ended up locked into the grounds! We had to have a security guard open up for us, so that we could get to our waiting taxi. He said this had happened to others, as well. (Early weekend morning, no one about.)

Most of the above questions are not truly appropriate for this sort of accommodation. The office staff were excellent (as were the Buttery people) but, unlike a hotel, there were no other staff. The rooms are somewhat spartan -- but then it is student accommodation. I was in the very heart of Dublin and not paying a "Gresham-type tarrif". It would be churlish to point out that there was no room service or that it was a long walk to breakfast -- it was student accommodation. The ambience was wonderful and there was no traffic noise.

I was disappointed that the shades of Edmund Burke and Oliver Goldsmith did not pass accross the quadrangle after dark. I had to "make do" with their statues out the front. As an addendum to Q3 below, I should point out that as a graduate of the University there was an obvious attraction to stay on campus and take in the atmosphere; it was more than "location"

  • Older travelers

Location was excellent for access to transportation, shopping, restaurants, walking tours, etc. The provided continental breakfast was convenient and excellent.

Street noise was very noticeable and irritating at times. Plumbing was somewhat "difficult".

It was convenient for me to do research at nearby , National , Library, Archives , and GRO office. Campus was a place of quiet relaxation .But also close to active night life in Dublin .
